Our Story – “Local Since 1985”

Our story began in Cape Town in 1985 with one simple goal: create a cleaner that actually works.

Our founder— once a race car driver—saw how harsh and ineffective many products were in the automotive world. So he created Kwiksolve, an ammonia-free degreaser that delivered real results without the sting.

It quickly grew beyond cars. Households, restaurants, and workshops loved that it was ammonia-free, effective, and reliable.

By the early ’90s, word spread fast. We expanded to George and Mossel Bay, and Kwiksolve has successfully passed the rigorous tests set by the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS), including Tests 1828 (Food Industry) and 1344 (Industrial Sector), and became a trusted name in homes, restaurants, workshops, and garages across the Western Cape.

Fast-forward:

In 2023, we went digital.
In 2025—our 40th year anniversary—we expanded production to Pretoria to be closer to our customers and keep nationwide delivery simple and fast.

For four decades, our focus hasn’t changed: make a product that cleans well, saves time, and stays affordable.
